The city is alive with togetherness and community in the spirit of Pride. While it’s great to celebrate for the month of June, it is also important to support LGBTQ+ businesses and inclusiveness year-round. We’ve pulled together three itineraries featuring things to do near NYC Ferry landings to help you sail your city with PRIDE!

Baz Bagel
Baz is a family-owned and operated bagel bakery and full-service restaurant. They opened the restaurant to provide an easy daily cafe for the community in our neighborhood with queer campy vibes. Baz has received local and global recognition for being LGBTQ leaders in our community and beyond.

Leslie-Lohman Museum
Recognizing a need for celebrating gay-themed artwork at a time when this was considered controversial, Leslie and Lohman began exhibiting works at their SoHo loft in 1969.The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art is the only dedicated LGBTQ+ art museum in the world with a mission to exhibit and preserve LGBTQ+ art and foster the artists who create it.

Stonewall Inn
This LGBTQ+ bar and national historical landmark was the site where Pride began in 1969. From June 28 to July 3, 1969, LGBTQ+ patrons of the Stonewall Inn and members of the local community took the unusual action of fighting back during a routine police raid at the bar. Stonewall became the first LGBT site in the country to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places (1999) and named a National Historic Landmark (2000). The spirit and fight of Pride is kept alive all year long at Stonewall.

Artists & Fleas
Established in 2003 in a former warehouse, the Williamsburg, Brooklyn flagship has become home to 45+ individual sellers every weekend. Artists & Fleas is a hot spot to discover what’s new and exciting in fashion, vintage, art, design and more.

Marsha P. Johnson Park
Marsha P. Johnson was a Black trans activist who became a key figure in the gay liberation movement after the Stonewall uprising, specifically fighting for trans rights and visibility. In 2020, on what would have been Johnson’s 75th birthday, East River State Park on the Brooklyn waterfront was renamed Marsha P. Johnson State Park in her honor.

Metropolitan
Since 2002, Metropolitan has been one of Brooklyn’s favorite LGBTQ+ bars, where everyone is welcome! They have a huge outdoor patio and garden space that is open year-round. They have a pool table, photo booth, daily happy hour, and host various queer events.

After two years of rallying the LGBTQIA+ online due to the covid-19 pandemic, the NYC Pride Rally is BACK in person! Among this year’s speakers are Chase Strangio, Dominique Morgan, and Schuyler Bailar who were recently announced as grand marshals at this year’s NYC Pride March.
Rainbows on the Hudson – St. George Route
