It’s that time of year when our Rockaway route is in its prime! The Rockaway route has something for everyone to do, whether you enjoy relaxing in the sand or the fresh breeze while strolling on the boardwalk. If you happen to ride the Rockaway route on a weekend that’s not suitable for the beach, there is still something for you to do! Warm weather makes for the best weekend activities along the Rockaway route and we want to be sure to keep you in the loop with what’s going on around our landings.

The Wall Street Experience is the activity to do this weekend if you want to experience tours around the Financial District! The Wall Street Experience has multiple tours that take you to various landmarks. The tours include the Financial Crisis Tour, the Wall Street Insider Tour, the 9/11 Ground Zero Tour, and the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Tour. Wall Street has so much history relating to the economics and politics of New York City. The Wall Street Experience wants to give you an exclusive insight into all of it.. All of the tours meet at locations within a 15-minute walk from the Wall St.- Pier 11 landing.

New York City is infamous for its towering skyscrapers and a lot of these buildings have an interesting history. The Skyscraper Museum gives insight into these skyscrapers by holding different exhibits to explain how these buildings came about. The history covers beyond the towering buildings. The museum explains what was there before the skyscraper was built, which can show how the needs of an area changed. The Skyscraper Museum is located at only a 15-minute walk from the landing.

Spending the day at Rockaway Beach is a common weekend outing for most during the warmer months. Our Rockaway landing makes it easy to catch a tan or walk the boardwalk at Rockaway Beach! The trip is only 54 minutes long from the Wall St.- Pier 11 landing and an even shorter ride from the Sunset Park landing. Rockaway Beach is the only legal surfing beach in the city! The beach has distinguished barbecue areas, as well as basketball courts, playgrounds, and skate parks. There’s enough for everyone to do for a fun-filled day! Take the ferry to Rockaway and the beach is only a 20-minute walk.

If sitting on the beach isn’t for you, grabbing food by the beach is the next best alternative for a beach day! Caracas Arepa Bar gives you the view of the beach without having to worry about getting sand all over you. For the summer months, Caracas Arepa Bar provides tasty food along with live music performances. In addition to the food, Caracas Arepa Bar has happy hour 7 days a week from 4 pm- 7 pm! The Venezuelan cuisine restaurant is an 11-minute walk from the landing.
