VISIT THE FAMOUS ROOSEVELT ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE

Event information: The Roosevelt Island Lighthouse is a 50-foot-tall lighthouse located at the northeast of the island. Go visit, take a selfie, look at the city from the island and take a minute to relax. Its easy to get there – and no, you don’t need to drive. You can now take the Astoria ferry from 34th St or Pier 11 and you will get there in under 30 minutes. If you are from north Queens, catch the ferry at the Astoria landing. Event information: This Long Island City park is home to seasonal exhibitions of impressive sculptures from a slew of internationally renowned artists. The NYC Ferry (Astoria Route) will take you there for 2.75 and in under 1 hour. Get outdoors and meet new friends while looking at these stunning sculptures.
