Out of the many things to do in NYC this weekend, here’s 5 events within walking distance of our landings with easy access to ferry transportation. Go ahead and choose your next adventure.

Polo on Governor’s Island

What: Victory Cup Polo Match

When: Sept. 23 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Cost: Individual $90, couple $160

Where: Governors Island, New York

Info: Polo is a team sport played on horseback using a wooden or a plastic mallet to hit the ball. For transportation, take the East River or South Brooklyn route to Governors Island from Pier 11/Wall St. Visit ferry.nyc/routes-and-schedules/ for schedules and route information.

Oktoberfest

What: German festival

When: Sept. 22-24th from 12pm to 12am.

Cost: Free (General Admission), but reservation is needed

Where: Pier 15 | 78 South St., New York, NY

Photoville

What: Photo gallery

When: Sept. 21-24th

Cost: Free

Where: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn

ROCK-A-BLOCK BLVD

What: Photo destination

When: Sept. 23rd, from 12pm-5pm

Cost: Free

Where: Rockaway Beach Boulevard

Info: A fun for the whole family including Community Yoga Class, Live Music, Participatory Square Dance, Pie Eating Contest and much more. Atlantic Antic Festival

What: Celebration of culture, cuisine, community and commerce

When: Sunday 9/24 from 12-6pm

Cost: Free

Where: 494 Atlantic Ave

Info: The 43rd Annual Atlantic Festival kicks off this Sunday featuring live music stages that showcase free outdoor performances that families with kids can enjoy. From pony rides, bounce houses, face painting and many other children’s activities make the festival fun for the entire family! Atlantic Ave is closed from Hicks Street to 4th Avenue for this epic event, but getting there has never been easier – just take our South Brooklyn NYC Ferry to Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 6/Atlantic Ave stop.

Brooklyn Flea Record Fair 

What: Shopping Event

When: Saturday 9/23 from 11am-6pm

Cost: Free

Where: 90 Kent Ave, Brooklyn, New York 11249

Info: Enjoy a day of vinyl delight at the East River Park and record labels, stores, and collectors setting up shop next to Smorgasburg. Click HERE for more information. For transportation options, visit our routes and schedules webpage. You can take the East River from Midtown’s 34th St or Pier 11/ Wall St to North Williamsburg. It is a 5-minute walk to the location from there.
