Escape to the Land of Books

Need a break from reality? Find some new antique books and embark on an enchanting literary adventure this weekend at the weekend-long New York Antiquarian Book Fair (March 9-12, tickets $20), taking place at the historic Park Avenue Armory! The hosts claim you will find “Over 200 American and international dealers will exhibit at The ABAA New York Antiquarian Book Fair, bringing a vast selection of rare books, maps, manuscripts, illuminated manuscripts and ephemera. The diversity of specialties includes art, medicine, literature, photography, autographs, first editions, Americana, and much more.” More information, tickets and hours here.

Dine Like a True New Yorker

New York is famous for its magnitude of food carts serving up hot food and beverages at all hours, this city doesn’t sleep, after all. Some of NYC’s most famous food trucks will come together this Sunday (March 12th) to “serve up everything from fresh Lobster Sandwiches to Neapolitan Pizza, Grilled Cheese to Sweet Crepes, to award winning Empanadas and stuffed French Toast.” In addition to being a fun festival, “100% of Grand Bazaar NYC’s profits are donated to four local public school, benefiting over 4,000 children.” So whether you are hungry for something sweet or savory, staying active or simply doing good, the Grand Bazaar NYC’s Food Truck Fest will be a blast! Discover Oddities at Brooklyn Bazaar

We always try to make sure you have the chance to embark on a new adventure in these weekend specials, so if you’ve already found oddities at a flea market and filled your apartment up with these.. We’re sorry, but we will surely head over to the Brooklyn Bazaar (which will be ferry close to our future ferry landing!) this Sunday to see if we can snag some maritime oddities for our office. The hosts promise that “you will find a wonderful assemblage of vendors bringing you all sorts of peculiar items.
