Dear NYC Ferry Rider,
We are pleased to share that starting on May 19th, NYC Ferry will increase ferry service along the Rockaway route during weekday afternoon peak periods during our summer schedule. Rockaway route ferries will operate every 45 minutes between 3:45pm and 8:00pm Monday โ Friday up to September 7th. This change will support the higher ridership we see during summer weekdays and minimize the chance of delays.
Due to this increase in ferry service and a limited number of shuttle buses, the Rockaway East shuttle service to and from the landing will only be available for the following trips during the weekday afternoon peak:
Southbound (Pier 11 to Rockaway)
- Departing Pier 11 at 4:30pm, arriving in Rockaway at 5:27pm
- Departing Pier 11 at 6:00pm, arriving in Rockaway at 6:57pm
- Departing Pier 11 at 7:51pm, arriving in Rockaway at 8:47pm
Northbound (Rockaway to Pier 11)
- Departing Rockaway at 5:37pm
- Departing Rockaway at 7:07pm
- Departing Rockaway at 8:56pm

For connecting bus service while shuttle is not operating, riders are encouraged to visit mta.info for nearby MTA NYC Transit alternatives, including the Q22 bus.
