10 Restaurants To Try Along The East River Route

Are you a foodie or foodie in training? Then this blog is perfect for you! This week we are sharing some of our favorite restaurants to try at locations just steps away from our East River Route landings. Trust us you won’t be disappointed.

Greenpoint Landing

The Brooklyn Barge is a vibrant waterfront community with a restaurant and bar on a floating barge. It gets better because its only a six-minute walk from our Greenpoint Landing as well. Enjoy the views of the East River will eating, drinking and being merry! It is open Saturdays from 11 am – 12 am, and Sundays from 11 am – 11 pm.

In the mood for American Cuisine with a Southern Italian influence? Visit Milk and Roses which features boutique wines, craft beer, and classic cocktails. Milk and Roses is a Greenpoint mainstay and only a 13-minute walk from our Greenpoint Landing. It is open Saturdays from 10 am – 1 am, but the kitchen closes at 12 am, and Sundays 10 am – 11 pm, but the kitchen closes at 10 pm.

“Glasserie believes in good food.” Visit this restaurant if you’re looking for Mediterranean roots meet Middle Eastern flavors mixed with contemporary techniques. This family restaurant holds the value of old recipes from grandmothers and great-grandmothers. Glasserie is open Saturdays from 10am – 4pm then 5:30pm – 12am and Sundays from 10am – 4pm then 5:30pm – 11pm. Not to mention that it’s only a 13 minutes walk from our Greenpoint Landing.

North Williamsburg

We love Smorgasburg! The largest weekly open-air food market in America, attracting 20,000 – 30,000 people to Brooklyn each weekend. You could be one of those people. Smorgasburg is open every Saturday in Williamsburg, a seven-minute walk from our North Williamsburg landing, from 11 am – 6 pm.

Want to try a slice of southern hospitality right in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn? Visit Mable’s Smokehouse & Banquet Hall for some no-frills, no attitude, all natural ingredients, old fashion barbeque. Mable’s Smokehouse is open Saturday and Sunday at 11 am. it is a a 12-minute walk from our North Williamsburg landing.

South Williamsburg

Enjoy some comfort food with Pies ‘n’ Thighs. Only an 11-minute walk from our South Williamsburg Landing you’ll be able to try southern cuisine in Williamsburg. Dinner is served every day at 5 pm-midnight.

East 34th Street

Head to Upland for a California inspired culinary philosophy! Enjoy a Saturday brunch with a menu ranging from buttermilk pancakes to Angus skirt steak. The best part is it only a 20-minute walk from our East 34th St. Landing. Upland is open for brunch on Saturdays from 10 am – 2:45 pm and then dinner from 5pm-11pm. It is open on Sundays for brunch from 10 am – 2:45 pm and then dinner from 5 pm – 10 pm.

Wall St/Pier 11

Head to Trading Post in the Seaport District if you have a taste for American cuisine. It is also a five-minute walk from our Wall St./Pier 11 Landing. It is open Saturdays from 12pm – 2am and Sundays 12pm -11pm. You won’t be disappointed with Trading Post and its clubby digs, cozy nooks, and East River views.

Enjoy riding our East River Route this weekend, but don’t eat too much!
