Starting today, NYC Ferry will begin operating new route patterns redesigned as part of the Ferry Optimization Plan. See below for information about each change and to see new schedules. We can’t wait to see you on board!

Modified Holiday Schedule

Here is everything you need to know about this schedule change:

  • The East River route will operate as two routes (East River A and East River B) on weekdays from approximately 6:30 AM-10:00 AM and 3:30 PM-7:00 PM. At all other times, the East River route will operate as a local route serving all stops.
  • The Rockaway-Soundview route will operate between Ferry Point Park and Rockaway with intermediate stops at Soundview, East 90th Street, East 34th Street, Stuyvesant Cove, Wall St/Pier 11, and Sunset Park/BAT.
  • Rockaway shuttle bus service will operate during AM and PM peak times on weekdays. It will not operate at other times on weekdays or on weekends this winter.
  • The St. George route will extend east and connect to Bay Ridge, Atlantic Ave./Brooklyn Bridge Park-Pier 6, and Wall St/Pier 11. The St. George route will continue to serve Manhattan’s West Side. Transfers are available to all other routes at Wall St./Pier 11.
  • The South Brooklyn route will connect Red Hook, Atlantic Ave/Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6, and Corlears Hook to East 34th Street. For service to Bay Ridge, riders can transfer at Wall St./Pier 11 or Atlantic Avenue/BBP Pier 6. For service to Sunset Park/BAT or DUMBO/Fulton Ferry, riders can transfer at Wall St/Pier 11.
  • On certain weekend days, a point-to-point shuttle will operate between Red Hook/Atlantic Basin and Wall St./Pier 11 to accommodate cruise-related demand from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. See below for the South Brooklyn Modified Weekend Schedule.
  • The Astoria route will continue to provide service between East 90th Street and Wall St/Pier 11 with intermediate stops at Astoria, Roosevelt Island, Long Island City, East 34th Street, and Brooklyn Navy Yard.
  • A Modified Holiday Schedule will operate on all routes on December 25 2025 and January 1 2026.
  • A Weekend Schedule will operate on December 24 2025, January 19 2026, and February 16 2026.
