There’s nothing like enjoying a delicious cup of hot chocolate on a wintry day! New York City is known for a lot of things, and hot chocolate is one of them. Ride with NYC Ferry to your next cup of hot chocolate near our landings.

Daily Provisions features not one, but three kinds of chocolate in their hot chocolate! To achieve the rich taste, their recipe includes Guanaja dark chocolate, Baribe milk chocolate 46%, and Guittard chocolate ganache. As if it could get any better, it is also topped with whipped cream and a housemade vanilla marshmallow. Daily Provisions is a 19-minute walk from the Stuyvesant Cove Landing on the Lower East Side Route.

Squish Marshmallow is known to be New York City’s go-to marshmallow shop, but their hot chocolate is also something to stop by for! Each delectable cup of hot chocolate is topped with one of their unique flavored, hand-cut marshmallows. Each marshmallow flavor embodies childhood favorites, while still having a sophisticated taste. Squish Marshmallow is a 19-minute walk from the Stuyvesant Cove Landing on the Lower East Side Route.

Devoción is a family-friendly café that offers a good cup of hot chocolate and plenty of room for strollers so your little ones don’t miss out! Their hot chocolate is comprised of L.A. Burdick chocolate, topped with expertly-steamed milk. L.A. Burdick chocolates are cut and shaped by hand daily and each unique chocolate is enhanced with other complementing flavors. Devoción is an 11-minute walk from the North Williamsburg Landing on the East River Route and a 20-minute walk from the E 34th St. Landing, which is a hub for the Soundview, Lower East Side, Astoria, and East River routes.

Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain loves sweater weather just as much as we do! Although it’s a bit messy and goopy, their salted caramel hot cocoa is a specialty during the colder months. This cup of hot chocolate is nothing less than chocolatey and is topped with a small mountain on toasted marshmallow fluff. Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain is a 16-minute walk from the Atlantic Ave. and the Red Hook landings on the South Brooklyn Route.

Martha’s Country Bakery serves a great pastry that pairs well with any of their hot chocolates! One of their more popular ones is the red velvet hot chocolate. In order to achieve the perfect cup of red velvet hot chocolate, the barista begins by steaming dark chocolate chips and combining that with red velvet powder and a splash of Hershey’s syrup with milk. The hot chocolate is then topped with whipped cream and dusted with the same red velvet powder. Martha’s Country Bakery also features a classic hot chocolate, Mexican hot chocolate, and peanut but hot chocolate. The two locations in the Williamsburg area are within a 12-minute walk of the North Williamsburg Landing on the East River Route.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has a delicious dairy-free hot chocolate for those who love chocolate but have a love-hate relationship with dairy. Their dairy-free hot chocolate has a ganache base with Michel Cluizel’s 99% Noir Infini dark chocolate and cocoa, double-filtered water, organic coconut sugar, and is topped with housemade vegan coconut whip or classic whipped cream. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has multiple locations near NYC Ferry landings. There is a location within an 8-minute walk from the Wall St.- Pier 11 Landing, which is a hub for all NYC Ferry route. On the East River Route, there is a location within a 6-minute walk of the North Williamsburg Landing and a 20-minute walk from the Greenpoint Landing. The E 90th St. Landing on the Soundview Route is a 16-minute walk from one of the locations, and another is a 20-minute walk from the Stuyvesant Cove Landing on the Lower East Side Route.

Gran Eléctrica gives a kick to hot chocolate with their spicy hot chocolate. This cup of hot chocolate can be described as having the richness of a French chocolat chaud with the spice of a Mexican hot chocolate. Gran Eléctrica’s hot chocolate is made with simmering whole milk with bittersweet chocolate and a touch of cinnamon and brown sugar. And, of course, it wouldn’t be complete without topping it with whipped cream. Gran Eléctrica is a 3-minute walk from the DUMBO landing on the East River and South Brooklyn routes.
