The 4th Annual Brooklyn Americana Music Festival is back bringing 60 free concerts spanning the range of American music including Folk, Country Blues, Old Time, Bluegrass and Jazz. The Festival will take place on seven indoor and two outdoor stages. It will include a new stage called The Women’s Stage in The Archway under the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO. The festival will bring in the artist as far as Austin, Nashville, New Orleans, Vancouver, Ireland, and Amsterdam. The Friday – Sunday free public waterfront performances include a weekend stage on the brand new Pier 3 in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The Festival Schedule is as follows:

Thursday, 9/20/18 @ 8pm: OPENING NIGHT GALA at The Jalopy Theatre: Jolie Holland and Samantha Parton, Nashville artists Wild Ponies, 12 & 13 year old brother and sister duo Giri and Uma Peters. Plus the ‘Duke of Folk’ Brooklyn legend Dan Zanes and Claudia Eliaza. [Only event with a cover charge $25]

Friday, 9/21/18 FREE live music for all ages at the reactivated 7,000 square foot performance space in The Archway under the Manhattan Bridge Stage including a recital by ‘Booze Violin’ students of Pete Lanctot (Iris DeMent, Hot Sardines) and Ginger Dolden; DUMBO local, Farm Aid artist and original cast of Rent ‘Son of a Cactus FarmerJesse Lenat.

Saturday, 9/22/18 @ 2-9pm: Women’s Stage. Over one dozen Brooklyn artists including Sasha Dobson, Annie Keating, Queen Esther, Neha Jiwrajka, Karen Dahlstrom, Ali Dineen, Stephanie Jenkins, Abby Hollander, Sabine McCalla (New Orleans), Leila Keeney (Dublin, Ireland), and Brooklyn born Stella Wave.

Saturday, 9/22/18 and Sunday, 9/23/18 @ 2-8pm  Brooklyn Bridge Park Stage. The all new Pier 3. The Manhattan skyline is the backdrop for M Shanghai String Band. The Woes, City Billies, Clarence Bucaro, Mamie Minch and Tamar Korn, Jefferson Hamer, Hilary Hawke, Jolie Holland and Samantha Parton.  

Saturday, 9/22/18 @ 7pm: Superfine Restaurant Bar Miss Sophie Lee, New Orleans Trio

Saturday, 9/22/18 @ 4pm – 10pm: Pioneer DUMBO establishment 68 Jay St Bar celebrates Saturday night series of 14 years. Bands from Austin, TX  Indiana, and NY. Plus Red Hook musician Stan Kosakowski 8pm.

Sunday, 9/23 @  Noon – 3pm: Superfine Bluegrass Brunch Now in its eighteenth year Brooklyn’s longest running country brunch at Superfine with The Screen Door Slammers (Austin, TX) and a set by 12 year old Little Nora Brown on banjo.

Sunday, 9/23 @ 6pm: After Party at Superfine featuring the Four O’clock Flowers led by Samoa Wilson and Ernie Vega who recently played The Museum of the City of NY, and Newport Folk Festival.
