NYC Ferry is proud to present Live at the Landing, an outdoor music series at LIC Landing in Hunters Point South Park featuring some of Queens’ best musicians.
The waterfront festival begins on Thursday September 14th at 6:30pm with Xavier Cardriche, a quintessential American artist whose Alt-Country/folk sounds will soothe your soul, making you forget that summer ever ended.
On Thursday September 21st at 6:30pm Jon Christopher Allen presents his recently released fourth studio album. He wrote “Keep a light on” on the streets of New York City. The listener can feel the pulse of the city while listening to it. He has developed a devoted fan base, especially in his home of Astoria, Queens. Raw, authentic lyrics, written in a bed of rhythm, are music that moves both the body and the mind.
Thursday September 28th features a band with LIC/Astoria roots whose debut album “Arriving” hit the top of the music charts. It was #1 on the Roots Music Report World Music Chart, is ranked #8 on the RMR Top 200 World Albums of 2016, and spent 10 weeks on the CMJ New World Top 40 Chart. The 6-piece American Samba band creates original music that combines traditional Brazilian rhythms (samba, baiao, bossa nova, and frevo) and English lyrics
The final show on Sunday, October 1 at 3 PM features Planet Queens for a tribute to one of the most revered bands of all time. Planet Queens will recreate the Eagles greatest hits volumes 1 and 2. The band and vocals will be handled by some of Queens finest musicians.
