If you haven’t gotten the chance to take our Astoria bound NYC Ferry yet, here’s your chance to attend a block party hosted by Big Reuse – NYC’s quintessential location for salvage building materials, furniture and then some located in Astoria just steps from our ferry landing!

The largest part of our city’s waste stream is building materials with food waste not far behind. Big Reuse is dedicated to keeping materials out of the landfill and reused, repurposed, and recycled!

On Sunday September 17th from 12 – 4pm, this free zero-waste community event will include:

– Free healthy food and drink
– Bike repair, children’s swap, bike donation
– Fun, ecofriendly earth-n-crafts
– Live entertainment
– Compost demos
– DIY mini-pop-ups
– Giveaways
