14 Sculptors Inc. On the Rock 2017: An Exhibition of Sculpture will be on view June 3 through October 9, 2017 adjacent to the newly completed boardwalk on Shore Front Parkway, Rockaway Beach, Queens from Beach 73 Street to Beach 108 Street.
Call it a renaissance or a recovery, one thing is certain, Rockaway is on everyone’s radar. This small sliver of a peninsula is where Brooklyn meets Queens and people come to escape the hustle and hassle of the big city. Come out and be a part of Rockaway’s exciting art scene!
This public art exhibition features 16 sculptures, 15 artists, and 14 sites that celebrate the spirit and beauty of the Rockaways. The featured sculptures lining the ocean side range from the intimate to the monumental.
During each month of the exhibition, arts and cultural events, special programs and tours will be offered free to the public.
This Thursday at 7pm, bring your camera and come learn how to capture the best sunset photo with John Grillo at Bungalow Bar: 377 Beach 92nd Street.
To get there: Take our RW NYC Ferry to Beach 108th Street. Walk to Beach 92nd Street or take our East bound shuttle service to Beach 86th Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard. Walk to 92nd Street and Beach Channel Drive.
