If you’ve ever heard the term: “It’s in Queens”, they were most likely referring to the Queens World Film Festival. Organizers Katha and Don Cato, sifted through hundreds of submissions to put together this 10-day festival made up of feature films, shorts, documentaries, music videos and animation. 31 films selected were created by Queens residents, and a full afternoon of showings will feature films shot in the borough.

The festival takes place at two locations: The Museum of the Moving Image and Zukor Screening Room in the Kaufman Astoria Arts District.

The full schedule can be found here. Tickets are $15. A $200 full-festival pass entitles buyers to 20 tickets, while a $100 half-festival pass is good for 10 tickets.
