Pickleball Fundraiser and Social for Tennis in Brooklyn

Kings County Tennis League and Fort Greene Tennis Association are hosting a pickleball tournament and social event tonight from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Court 16. Travel via NYC Ferry to the Pickleball Fundraiser and Social for Tennis in Brooklyn. Take NYC Ferry’s Astoria or Lower East Side (LES) route to Long Island City, Queens.

This event is to raise money to:

Expand KCTL’s programming to Ingersoll Houses, located across the street from Fort Greene Park. With this new site, KCTL can bring more kids tennis for an after-school program and weekend classes.

Resurface Fort Greene Courts. Our amazing community has already raised more than half of the funds needed to resurface the six courts in Fort Greene Park. With your help, we can get all the way there by early 2019.

Fundraiser Details:

Come out to play pickleball or meet up with your friends for a night of music, food, and drinks at Court 16’s Long Island City location.

Pickleball Tournament:

The pickleball tournament will pit 20 teams from both FGTA and KCTL in a round robin format. Each team is guaranteed at least three matches. Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the US. This Paddle and Wiffleball sport is perfect for players of all levels and combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. At Court 16, they remix the game of Pickleball on the first-ever LED tennis courts in the country.
