Poseidon Parade
The Poseidon Parade Returns to Rockaway for its 5th year of festivities and celebration. Travel in comfort to this not-to-miss event on NYC Ferry’s Rockaway route. Organized by the Rockaway Mermaid Brigade, and supported by the Rockaway community. It is our goal to celebrate creative self-expression with everyone who walks along the shores of Rockaway Beach and beyond
A family-friendly celebration of people participating in costumes decoration,
making floats and displaying art while celebrating the boardwalk.
Poseidon’s Parade steps off at Noon from the 106th Street concessions (Caracas). Marchers should arrive between 10 am and 11:30 am to check-in and line up, and enjoy some live music before the parade begins. The parade continues from 106th all the way down to 95th street, where a DJ and other activities will be taking place all afternoon. The judges’ stands are at 98th street, be sure to face ocean-side and give them your best, you could win an award!
The parade is 100% free for spectators, so come on down and enjoy a beautiful late summer day on the boardwalk, it’s a sight to see!
