Opening events start Wednesday kicking off the weekend of LIC open studios

The 8th Annual LIC Arts Open Festival starts Wednesday 

An exciting celebration of the thriving arts community in Long Island City, Queens. NYC’s fastest growing creative community is celebrating its artistic diversity with a weeklong festival. The festival is open to the public and features myriad cultural activities and events, many of them FREE!

May 16th   

The 8th Annual Launch Party @ The Plaxall Gallery 5-25 46th Ave.​ from 7-10pm

This event will include a performances from Karesia Batan’s SITE MOVES.

May 17th 

The Breakroom @ The Factory 30-30 47th Ave at 7pm

Featuring music from Lauren Elder, a Broadway performer and singer-songwriter and at 8pm she will be followed by Pat Irwin and Brian Cavanaugh-Strong, both distinguished composers and musicians, who will be performing Music for Electric Guitar and Piano.

May 20th 

The Really HUGE Closing Party @ 43-01 21st St / 1A from 6.30-10pm.

Entertainment includes Latin dance party music from Niko Andres & LaMar NYC feat. Matt Geraghty. This event will also feature the legendary 10″ x 10″ auction, where you can bid on artists‘ work for a fraction of the price! All proceeds go towards to the cost of the festival.

Open Studios: Saturday, May 19th – Sunday, May 20th, 2018 @ 12 – 6pm
